Joseph Sidary; 86; of North Belle Vernon; died Wednesday; Nov. 20; 2013; at 12:25 a.m. at Kade Health and Rehab Center; Washington. Born Dec. 22; 1926; in North Belle Vernon; he was the son of the late Anthony and Katheryne Spadafora Sidary. A resident of North Belle Vernon; Mr. Sidary was Catholic by faith and was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Monessen Plant; where he worked as a steam plant operator. He was a veteran of World War II; where he served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by a nephew; Jim Sidary of North Belle Vernon; and two nieces; Laurie Marraccini of McKeesport and Kathleen Couvillion of Texas. He was preceded in death by a brother; James Sidary; stepbrother; Salvatore Perry; and a son; John Sidary Fries. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; 724-929-6183. Services will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Parzynski Funeral Home and Cremations with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick; pastor; of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Joseph Sidary 3 p.m.Thursday in the funeral home.
