Obituary

Joseph Sidary, 86, of North Belle Vernon, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at 12:25 a.m. at Kade Health and Rehab Center, Washington. Born Dec. 22, 1926, in North Belle Vernon, he was the son of the late Anthony and Katheryne Spadafora Sidary. A resident of North Belle Vernon, Mr. Sidary was Catholic by faith and was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Monessen Plant, where he worked as a steam plant operator. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by a nephew, Jim Sidary of North Belle Vernon, and two nieces, Laurie Marraccini of McKeesport and Kathleen Couvillion of Texas. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Sidary, stepbrother, Salvatore Perry, and a son, John Sidary Fries. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Services will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Parzynski Funeral Home and Cremations with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick, pastor, of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Joseph Sidary 3 p.m.Thursday in the funeral home.
