Joseph (Babe) Semich,208 Johnson Avenue, Belle Vernon,died suddenly on Friday, Nov. 17,1978 in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp. He was 66. Born in Rilton on March 14,1912,he was the son of the late Nick and Mildred Semich. He was a Belle Vernon resident most of his life. Mr. Semich wa a retired employee of the Sadowski Lumber Yard of Washington Twp. He was a member of the Pricedale Union Church. Mr. Semich is survived by his widow,Freda Crampo Semich;one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Wright, at home; three brothers, George Semich of Belle Vernon,Mitchell Semich of Monessen and Ellis Semich of Charleroi;one sister, Mrs. Charles (Kay) Zebula of Belle Vernon and one grandson Jeffrey Wright,at home. Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with the Rev. Howard Rodebaugh,pastor of the Pricedale Union Church,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
