Obituary

Joseph S.Lynch,49,of 412 Ridge Ave.,Monessen,died suddenly at 3 o'clock Thursday morning,Oct.9,1958,at his home. Born in Donora,a son of Mrs.Susan Foster Lynch of Belle Vernon and the late Samuel J.Lynch,he attended Donora schools,and was graduated from Monessen High School with the class of 1926. He had been employed in the Internal Revenue Department for some years before accepting a position with the First National Bank in Monessen. Three years ago he joined the staff of the Pittsburgh Steel Federal Credit Union where he was assistant treasurer. He was a member of the St.Sebastian R.C.Church and Knights of Columbus Council 3026,Belle Vernon,and a member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge 773,Monessen. Surviving are his wife,Mrs.Rose Caputo Lynch,a metallurgical student at Penn State University,his mother,Mrs.Susan Foster Lynch,five brothers,Matthew of Belle Vernon R.D., Robert of Largo,Fla.,William of Perryopolis,Charles of Charleroi and Vincent of Levittown,two sisters,Mrs.Mary Beatty and Mrs.Harold (Susanne) Ringstad,both of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the H.Denver Rhome Funeral Home,McKee Ave.,Monessen,beginning Friday evening. Visiting hours are from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday,Oct.13,at 10 a.m.from the St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon,with the Very Rev.Henry Hanse officiating at Solemn Requiem High Mass. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. H.Denver Rhome,funeral director.
