Obituary

Joseph S.Nutting,61,a former member of the Charleroi Area School Board and a retired foreman at the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,died Saturday,Dec.13,1980,at 1:05 p.m.in his home at Charleroi R.D.2 (Fallowfield Twp.). Mr.Nutting was a member of the old Fallowfield Twp.School Board when Fallowfield Twp.and a half dozen other municipalities merged with Charleroi to form the Charleroi Area School Board. He served on the board during the 1961 and 1962 years. He was a veteran of World War II,having served with the U.S.Army's Third Armour Spearhead Division and was a member of the Charleroi Veterans of Foreign Wars and St.Jerome Catholic Church of Charleroi. A retired foreman at the Allenport Plant of W-P Steel,Mr.Nutting was born in Charleroi,a son of Methias and Sara Huber Nutting. Survivors include his widow,Helen B.Kkramrec Nutting,one son,Thomas Nutting,at home,one daughter,Patricia Ann Nutting,at home,one brother,Harry Nutting of North Charleroi and one sister,Mrs.Albert (Shirley) Karlowsky of North Charleroi. Friends are being received in the Leonard M.Pavlic Funeral Home,235 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi on Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m.and Monday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Tuesday,Dec.16,1980 at 10 a.m.,in St.Jerome Catholic Church in Charleroi with the Rev.Larry Smith,the celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Leonard M.Pavlic,funeral director in charge.
