Obituary

Joseph R. Muccino, 49, of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township), died Saturday, March 14, 2009, in UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland. Born Nov. 22, 1959, in North Charleroi, he was the son of Joseph A. and Irene Carlock Muccino, with whom he made his home. Mr. Muccino was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon. He worked as a front loader for Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel, Monessen plant, and was later employed as a nuclear technician by Westinghouse, Waltz Mill. He was very athletic and loved to play sports, enjoyed gardening and loved to cook. He was a doting uncle for his three nieces and nephew. He also took great pride and was a perfectionist in his cement and block work. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Valerie and Charles Ruslavage, of Canonsburg, and Erica and Jim Jarvis, of Wexford, three nieces, Kayla and Rachel Ruslavage and Gabriella Jarvis, and a nephew, Rocco Jarvis. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Lawrence L. Manchas, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian Parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Joseph Muccino at 3 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
