Joseph P. Joe Bolchak;76;of Belle Vernon R.D.2;formerly of Gillespie (Fayette City R.D.1);died suddenly Saturday;Feb.9;1991;at 12:40 p.m.at his home. He was born April 12;1914;in Washington Township;Fayette County;a son of the late Frank J.and Magdeline Halgus Bolchak. He was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church;Fayette City;and numerous social and service organizations throughout the Mon Valley. Mr.Bolchak was retired from the tube mill of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corportation’s Allenport plant. He was a veteran of World War II;having served in the U.S.Army. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his first wife;Helen Bednar Bolchak;in 1977;a daughter;Magdelyn A.Muzina;1983;and two brothers;John and Frank Bolchak. Survivors include his wife;Mary Yelanich Bolcchak of Newell;two daughters;Mrs.John (Arlene) Zdilla of Wexford and Mrs.Gregory (Marsha) Grados of Fairhope;four grandsons;Greg;Jeff;Jonathan and David;one brother;Andrew Bolchak of Wickhaven;and one sister;Margaret Pollack of Brownstown (Fayette City R.D. 1). Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and on Tuesday until 9:30 a.m.;when a prayer service will be held in the funeral home;followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in Holy Spirit R.C.Church;Fayette City;with the Rev.Richard Mackiewicz;pastor;as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Roasry will be recited Monday at 3 p.m.in the funeral home. Wake service will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m.in the funeral home. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
