Obituary

Joseph Drotar,67,of 307 Ohio St.,Pricedale,died Friday,March 23,1973,in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital at 5:25 a.m.after a short illness. Mr.Drotar was born in Budapest,Hungary on July 6,1905 and resided in Pricedale the past 50 years. He retired in 1967 after 50 years employment at the Allenport Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Surviving are his widow Christine,two daughters,Mrs.Thomas (Katherine) Parks of St.Petersburg,Fla.and Mrs.Ben (Lorraine) Parks of Lake Placid,Fla.,four grandchildren and two sisters,Mrs.John (Ann) Vekasy of Beaver Falls and Mrs.Wilmer (Helen) Wilson of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Toner-Essey Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,between the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.Sunday. Parastas service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 6 p.m. There will be prayers on Monday at 8:30 a.m.followed by additional services at 9 a.m.in Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Church,Lynnwood,with the Rev.John Kluchko,pastor,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner and Gerald R.Essey,funeral directors,in charge.
