Joseph P. Manns,84,died Tuesday, March 10,1959 at 10:30 a.m. at his home,630 McMahon Ave.,Monessen. Mr. Manns was a retired coal miner. He is survived by his wife, Winifred of New York;four daughters,Mrs. Frances Ferguson of Portsmouth,Ohio,Mrs. Lucille Kent and Mrs. Juanita Cooper,both of Bronx,N.Y. and Mrs. Bernice Barlon of Monessen; a son,Orpheus of Long Island,N.Y. and eight grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Carter Funeral Home,Monessen after 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Funeral home visiting hours are from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday,March 13,at 11 a.m. from the Union Baptist Church,Monessen, with the Rev. E.W. Jarrett officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. DuBoise Carter,funeral director.
