Joseph Grunwald of 123 Nagy Ave.,Belle Vernon (Arnold City) died Tuesday, Sept. 28,1982 at 6:03 p.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital following a brief illness. He was 87. Mr. Grunwald was born July 13,1895, in Poland. He was a member of the Polish National Catholic Church of Fairhope and the Polish National Alliance Club of Arnold City. A retired coal miner, Mr. Grunwald was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Grunwald,on March 29,1954. Survivors include his widow, Frances Grunwald; two sons, Theodore of Monessen and Frank of Dravosburg; five daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Peduti of Marianna,Mrs. Helen Brautigan and Mrs. Rose Galaski,both of Monessen,Mrs. Margaret Grant of Belle Vernon and Miss Frances Grunwald at home; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday,Oct. 1,at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. at the Polish National Catholic Church in Fairhope with the Rev. Fr. Felix Pyzowski,pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
