Mr Moffit was born Jan. 7;
1909; in Marwell; Pa.; a son of
the late John and Elizabeth
Vesper Moffit.
He was Catholic by faith.
A U. S. Army veteran of
World War II; Mr. Moffit
retired in 1974 from employment with the Charleroi Plant
of Corning Glass Works.
Survivors include his wife;
Dorothy Jane Olson Moffit. at
home; four brothers; John F.;
John H ; Edward and Charles
B.; all of Charleroi; and two
sisters; Mrs. Anna Dunn of
Pensacola; Fla. and Mrs.
Margaret Farkas of
Charleroi.
Mr Moffit was preceded in
death by two brothers;
Michael and William; and by
a sister; Mary Caruso.
Friends will be received at
the Howard W. McCrory
Funeral Home; Fayette City;Tuesday from 7 to 9 p. m.
and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m. Blessing Service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m.in the funeral home;with the Rev.Thomas G.Rinn;pastor of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church;Fayette City;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
