Joseph Mazur Jr., 42, of Monongahela, passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, in the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Thursday, Nov. 24, 1983 – a Thanksgiving baby – in McKeesport, son of Sherry Trail Hudachek and Joseph Mazur Sr., both of Monongahela. Joseph attended Ringgold High School and later graduated from Rosedale Technical College as a mechanic. He also attended CCAC and received an associate degree in business. Joseph enjoyed playing guitar, working on cars and joking with everyone. He loved his family very much and will be sadly missed. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his three children, Alina Mazur of Youngstown, Ohio, Joseph Mazur III of Monongahela, Madison Mazur of Perryopolis; maternal grandmother, Elsie McDonald Trail of New Eagle; three sisters, Crystal (Danny) McNary of Eighty Four, Tiffany Mazur and her son, Dominick, of Monongahela, Jamie Mazur and her son, Jason Stevens II, of Monongahela. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Trail, whom he loved very much; paternal grandparents, John and Bessie Smith Mazur; uncle and aunt, Ed and Paula Maley Hodor; aunt, Karen Dolten; and brother-in-law, Jason Stevens Sr. Friends will be received from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Entombment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
