Joseph Salotti,a resident of Monessen and this immediate vicinity for the past 40 years.died Friday.April 30,1943,at 6:30 a.m. at his home,Belle Vernon,R.D. He had been employed by the American Sheet and Tin Plate Co. for a period of 32 years and when the local plant was closed,removed to a farm on the Belle Vernon-West Newton road. He was a member of the NIPA lodge of Monessen. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Frances Luti Salotti and the following children;Dominick,Guido,Anna and Mrs.John Cerolini,all at home,Daniel of Monessen,Victor of Fairhope,and Corporal Pete,stationed at Fort Jackson,S.C. Friends are being received at the late home,near the George H. Frich farm. Funeral service May 3,at 10 a.m. from the St. Cajetan Church with Father Nunzio Pirulli officiating. Interment, Belle Vernon Cemetery. Dave H. Woodward,funeral director in charge.
