Joseph Kurtak;79;of Belle Vernon;R.D.2;died in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital;Friday afternoon;September 1;1950;at 3:30 o’clock.  He had been a resident of Rostraver Township for many years.  He is survived by his wife;Mrs.Mary Kurtak;two sons;Michael at home;and Albert G.Kurtak of Pittsburgh;three daughters;Mrs.Anna Sarnosky of Charleroi;Mrs.Mary Lefko of Conneatville and Mrs.Elizabeth Perry of Pittsburgh;one brother;Andrew of Monessen;thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received at the late home.  Services will be held Monday;September 4;1950;at 9 a.m.;in the St.John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church;Monessen.  Rev.John Govrusik will be in charge and interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
