Obituary

 

Joseph Kurtak,Jr.,of Snowden, formerly of Belle Vernon,died suddenly in a rock fall at work on Sunday,October 6,1946.  Surviving are his widow,Mrs. Anna Shimchick Kurtak,three children,Joseph III,Mary Ellen and David at home,his parents,Mr.and Mrs.Joseph Kurtak of Belle Vernon,two brothers,Michael of Belle Vernon and Albert of Charleroi,and three sisters,Mrs.Anna Samosky of Charleroi,Mrs.Mary Lefko of Nashville City,Cal.,and Mrs.Elizabeth Perry of Pittsburgh.  The body has been removed to the parental home near the old Monessen Airport at Belle Vernon,R.D.2. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m.Thursday,October 10,1946,at the Russian Orthodox Church at Monessen.  Burial will be made in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
