Joseph Kossar of Belle Vernon R.D.2 died Saturday at 1:10 p.m. in Veteran’s Hospital;Aspinwall. He was 64. Mr.Kossar was born July 14;1918;in Donora;a son of the late Peter and Mary Loss Kossar. A resident of the Belle Vernon area for the past 40 years;he was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church. Mr.Kossar was a veteran of World War II;having served with the U.S.Army. He retired in August of 1980 from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel’s Monessen Plant;where he had worked as a rigger. Survivors include his widow;Rose Telleck Kossar;one son;Gerald J.Kossar of Mars;three brothers;John of Monongahela and Andrew and Peter;both of Monessen;and three sisters;Mrs.Charles (Anne)Charnak;Mrs.Robert (Sue) Faulks and Mrs.Edward (Mary) Biszaha;all of Monessen. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday;April 20;at 9 a.m. in Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church;Mary St.Belle Vernon;with the Rev.John Kluchko;pastor of the church;officiating. Parastas services will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m.in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
