Joseph (Joker) Kissler;79;of 112 Branch Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;Feb.28;1972;at 5:59 a.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He was born in Jacobs Creek March 4;1892. A veteran of World War I;he was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars of Belle Vernon. He retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in 1962. He was preceded in death by his wife;Emily Ashley Kissler;Oct.20;1970. Surviving are two daughters;Mrs.Matthew (Emogene) Posick of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Mike (Vauna) Belsick;with whom he made his home;one brother;Charles Kissler of Monessen;and two sisters;Mrs.Martha Wylam of Pittsburgh and Mrs.Catherine Gaesser of Pittsburgh;four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;after 7 p.m.Monday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.Tuesday. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday;March 1;at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Ailey L.Dickerson of the Bible Baptist Church of Belle Vernon officiating.
