Joseph J. Sabol; 95; formerly of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Friday; March 15; 2013; at 10:40 p.m. at Monongahela Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. Born Feb. 28; 1918; in Monessen; he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Boltyzar Sabol. Mr. Sabol was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and was retired from Fisher Body; Dravosburg; where he worked in the die layout from 1950 to his retirement in 1985. He enjoyed working around the house; playing cards; fixing anything that was broken and spending time with his family. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; Joseph G. and Susan M. Sabol of Mercersburg; Thomas and Belle Sabol of Arroyo Grande; Calif.; and Richard and Lisa Sabol of West Chester; daughter and son-in-law Catherine A. and Robert Pfingsten of Madison; Ohio; and six grandchildren; Joseph C. Sabol; Molly K. Sabol; E. Claire Sabol; Sarah T. Smith and husband Lee; Anna Sweeney and Alexandria Sweeney. He is preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Diethorn Sabol; a brother; Edward Sabol; and a sister; Josephine Kuzma.
