Obituary

Joseph J.Gluch,78,of Belle Vernon,died Friday,Dec.25,1992,at 2:05 pm.in Montefiore Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was born Oct.7,1914,in Senaceville,Ohio,a son of the late Joseph and Joanna Piscarczik Gluch. He resided in the Belle Vernon community for the past 46 years. He was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. He was a veteran of World War II,having served in the U.S.Army. He retired in 1976 after 42 years of service with the Consolidated Coal Co.,Mathies Mine,where he was employed as a cutting machine operator. Survivors include his wife of 53 years,Betty Gluch,two sons,Chuck (Carol) Gluch of Spring,Texas,and Jim Gluch of Philadelphia,two grandchildren,Karen and David Gluch,one sister,Frances McCay of Uniontown,and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by one son,Thomas Gluch,in 1968,and one sister,Anna McCay. Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A Prayer service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
