As the outcome of a series of ailments following a surgical operation at the Presbyterian hospital;Pittsburgh;Mr.Joseph Holder died on Friday;April 30th;aged 69 years. Mr.Holder was a highly esteemed citizen of Belle Vernon the past 35 years and was employed as foreman carpenter at the Monessen Tin Plate plant. He was a member of the Christian Church and is survived by his wife;three sons;Clyde of Tremont;Ohio;Fred of Fayette City and John of Belle Vernon. Also by three daughters;Mrs.W.E.Cole;Mrs.Albert Harvey and Mrs.John Turnbull;all of Belle Vernon. He is also survived by two brothers and a sister;Charles Holder of Beallsville;William Holder of Brownsville and Emma Holder of Charleroi. Funeral services were conducted by Revs. Madtes and Jewell at the late home;corner Henry and Arch streets;on Monday afternoon;May 3;and interment was made in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
