Obituary

Joseph G.Story,79,of Gibsonton,Belle Vernon R.D.2 died Wednesday,July 6,1960,at 10:18 p.m.at the home of his daughter,Mrs.James (Dorothy) Steffey,101 Water St.,West Newton. Born in Tennessee,Nov.19,1880,he had lived in Gibsonton for the past 45 years. He was employed as a stationary engineer at Pittsburgh Steel Co's Monessen plant and was retired in 1953. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. Surviving are his wife,Pearl Leasure Story,a son,John D.,at home,four daughters,Mrs.Steffey,Mrs.William (Thelma) NcNeil,Pittsburgh,Mrs.Thomas (June) Leone,Monessen and Mrs.Dale (Betty) Williams,Gibsonton,17 grandchildren,5 great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home,262 Donner Ave.,Monessen,from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday,July 9,1960,at 2 p.m.from the funeral home,with the Rev.William Schatz,pastor of the First Methodist Church,Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Edwin Melenyzer,funeral director.
