Obituary

Joseph Fidnarik, Sr., 66, of Belle Vernon, R. D. 3, died May 8, 1955, at 9:10 a. m., in the Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born in Czechoslovakia, March 16, 1889, and was a member of St. Edward's Church, Fayette City, and the United Mine Workers. He is survived by his wife, Anna Fidnarik, two sons, Joseph, Jr., of Belle Vernon, Michael of Lowber, three daughters, Mrs. William (Mary) Kramer of Flushing, New York, Mrs. Stephen (Ann) Breza of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Mrs. Fred (Sylvia) Mathews, Jr., of Monessen, one brother, John of Fairhope, and five grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Melenyzer-Ferguson Funeral Home during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services there on Wednesday,May 11,at 9 a.m.,will be followed by additional rites at 9:30 o'clock in St.Edward's Church. Rev.Charles Ribick will be in charge,and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Chas.L.Melenyzer and Shelby D.Ferguson are the funeral directors in charge of arrangements.
