Joseph Fidnarik,86,of 90 Irvin Ave.,Livingston,N.J.,died Monday,Jan.1,1996,at 1:15 p.m. in St. Barnabus Medical Center,Livingston. Born March 8,1909,in Fairhope,he was the son of the late John and Ann Grocki Fidnarik. Mr. Fidnarik had lived in New Jersey the past 45 years and was a member of the Catholic Church of Livingston. He was a food service mechanic,retiring in 1973. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Fidnarik and a sister,Mae Zimmaro. Surviving are three sisters,Ann Wozniak and Kathryn Hegedus,both of Belle Vernon,and Margaret Hoppe of Livingston,N.J.and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a Prayer servie will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
