Obituary

Joseph F.Karlick of 915 Fayette Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,Aug.17,1988,at 8:35 a.m.in Eye and Ear Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was 76. He was born Jan.10,1912,in Cool Dole,a son of the late Joseph and Mary Karlick. Mr.Karlick was a Belle Vernon resident for 47 years,and was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. In 1972 he retired as a bundler from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel's Monessen plant. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II,and a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a sister,Ann Karlick,and a brother,Paul Karlick. Surviving are his wife,Ann Pastorick Karlick,one stepbrother,Tony Krupovchin of Godeffroy,N.Y.,and one stepsister,Julia Krupovchin of Port Jervis,N.Y. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a prayer service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold services in the funeral home on Friday at 7 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home.
