Joseph F.Karlick of 915 Fayette Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;Aug.17;1988;at 8:35 a.m.in Eye and Ear Hospital;Pittsburgh. He was 76. He was born Jan.10;1912;in Cool Dole;a son of the late Joseph and Mary Karlick. Mr.Karlick was a Belle Vernon resident for 47 years;and was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. In 1972 he retired as a bundler from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel’s Monessen plant. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II;and a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a sister;Ann Karlick;and a brother;Paul Karlick. Surviving are his wife;Ann Pastorick Karlick;one stepbrother;Tony Krupovchin of Godeffroy;N.Y.;and one stepsister;Julia Krupovchin of Port Jervis;N.Y. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a prayer service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold services in the funeral home on Friday at 7 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home.
