Obituary

Joseph F. Connolly,59,of 500 Broad avenue,Belle Vernon,died suddenly at his home,Wednesday, July 15,1953,at 9:45 p.m. Mr. Connolly was employed at the Monessen plant of the Pittsburgh Steel company.  He was a veteran of World War One,having served with the United States Navy,and was a member of Arden Calvert Post 167,Veterans of Foreign Wars,the American Citizens Club of North Charleroi,and the St. Sebastian Church of Belle Vernon. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Connolly,one son,James E. Connolly of St. Petersburg,Florida,his mother,Mrs. Lucy Connolly of Swissvale,two brothers,Raymond of Swissvale and Harry of Wilkinsburg. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home. Requiem High Mass will be sung in St. Sebastian R.C.Church,Monday,July 20,1953,at 9:30 a.m.,by Rev. Francis Martin.  Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
