Joseph Wargo;84;of Charleroi R.D.1 (Fallowfield Township) died Wednesday;Dec.22;1993;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. Mr.Wargo was born Aug.17;1909;in Windber. He retired in 1972 from Mathies Mine. A Catholic by faith;he was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. Surviving are his wife;Opal Evans Wargo;two sons;Marvin E.Wargo (and daughter-in-law Hope) of Charleroi and Joseph E.Wargo of Fallowfield Township;eight grandchildren;six great-grandchildren;one brother and three sisters. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Carl J.Spallino Funeral Home;819 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev.Edward F.Hammett officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Carl J.Spallino Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
