Obituary

Joseph E. Wargo Jr., 69, of Fallowfield Township, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born March 27, 1936, in Gallatin, a son of Opal Evans Wargo, who survives and with whom he resided in Fallowfield Township, and the late Joseph E. Wargo. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon, American Legion Post 22 and the Belgian Club, both of Charleroi. Joseph retired from the Charleroi Plant of Corning Glass and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Surviving in addition to his mother, is his wife, Linda L. Wargo, of Fredericktown, two sons, Justin T. Wargo of Fredericktown and Joseph E. Wargo II and wife Lisa of Spokane, Wash., four daughters, Anansa Wargo of Fredericktown, Saadia Duda of Fayette City, Sandra J. Meli and husband Douglas of Belle Vernon, and Paula J. Divel and husband Robert of Hazelton, one step son, J.R. Russell of Donora, one step daughter, Staff Sgt. Nicole E. Russell, one brother, Marvin E. Wargo Sr. and wife Hope of Charleroi, seven grandchildren, Kathie Bennett and husband Steve, Melissa and Shauwna Sethman, Terri Leigh, Liza Lint, and Nicole and Kaitlyn Wargo, four great-grandchildren, Spencer Bennett, and Skylar, Mersaidez and Joseph Sethman, and four nephews. Friends will be received in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 6, at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Northey, officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
