Joseph E.Rocchino;85;of Hill Street;Belle Vernon;died on Saturday;Sept;18;1999;in Jefferson Hospital. A son of the late Salverio and Victoria Ganino Rocchino;he was born on Sept.17;1914;in Calabria;Italy. Mr.Rocchino was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon and had lived in Belle Vernon since 1930. He was a member and past president of the Western Pennyslvania Hairdressers Association and of the former Sons of Italy in Belle Vernon. He and his wife of 54 years;Clara Duronio Rocchino;had owned and operated Clara’s Beauty Salon in Belle Vernon until their retirement in 1983. In addition to his wife;he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law;Cheryl and Richard Giuliano of Upper St.Clair and Janice and John Butitta of Rockford;Ill.;and four grandchildren;Monica Travers of Upper St.Clair;Ensign Ryan Giuliano of the U.S.Navy;and Erin and Joshua Luce;both of Lake Mills;Wis. Friends will be received in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer services will be in the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian’s Roman Catholic Church with the Father Donald Trexler;parochial vicar;as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Legion of Mary of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church will recite the Rosary in the funeral home on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
