Obituary

Joseph Dimasi,70,owner and operator of the Dimasi Grill on Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,since 1933,died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital at 1:05 a.m. Tuesday,Aug.29,1967. He lived at 426 Broad Ave. Mr.Dimasi,who was born in Italy on Jan.2,1897,was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,Pennsylvania Tavern Association and Westmoreland County Tavern Association. He was a life member of Fairhope Rod and Gun Club and was a life member of North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Dept. He was a resident of Belle Vernon since 1924. Surviving are his widow,Rose Reda Dimasi,a son,Donald J.of Belle Vernon,two daughters,Mrs.Joseph D.(Mary Catherine) Mondi and Mrs.Vincent (Virginia) Murri of Belle Vernon,four brothers in Italy and a sister in Argentina,six grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home in Belle Vernon after 7 p.m. Aug.30. Blessing service there Friday,Sept.1 at 10:30 a.m. followed by Requiem High Mass in St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon,at 11 a.m. The Rev.Martin J.O'Toole,pastor,will officiate. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director.
