Obituary

A retired tavern proprietor of Belle Vernon,Joseph DeSimone,74,of 1231 Fayette Ave.,died suddenly in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital Friday,Feb.11,1966 at 2:40 a.m. Mr.DeSimone had owned and operated the Factory Lunch in Belle Vernon for many years. He was a member of St.Sebastian's Roman Catholic Church,Sons of Italy Lodge and Italian Beneficial Society,all of Belle Vernon. Surviving are his widow,Mary,two daughters,Mrs.leo (Rose) Traversari and Mrs.Roger (Theresa) Checchi of Belle vernon,three sons,Samuel of Versailles Borough,Ernest of Alameda.Calif.,and Anthony of Belle Vernon,twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,after 2 p.m.Feb.12. Requiem High Mass will take place in St.Sebastian's R.C.Church,Belle Vernon,on Monday,Feb.14 at 10 a.m.with the Rev.Martin J.O'Toole,pastor,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery.
