Obituary

Joseph Curcio,79,of 123 MainSt.,Belle Vernon,died on Wednesday,Jan. 10,1962,at 3:25 p.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He was born in Italy on Sept. 8,1882 and was employed as a janitor in the Allenport Plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. Surviving are his widow, Jeromine; one son,James Curio of Rochester,N.Y.;two step-sons,Elmer Syes of Charleroi and Clifford Strader of Irwin; one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Palmero of Culver City,Calif.;two step-daughters, Mrs. Edward (Mary) Paterline and Mrs. Andrew (Sadie) Patick,both of Charleroi;fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home in Belle Vernon between the hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.,where funeral services will take place on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 11 a.m.  The Rev. W.S. Van Arsdale of the Christian Church, Charleroi,will be in charge.  Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director.
