Joseph Conts;72;of 3945 Elmore Road;Fairview Park;Cleveland;Ohio;died Wednesday;Jan.14;1976 at 5:10 p.m.in Fairview Park General Hospital. He was a former Belle Vernon area resident. A son of the late Frank and Minnie Toth Contz;he was born in Pennsylvania on July 4;1903 and lived most of his life in the Belle Vernon area. He moved to Cleveland in 1953. Mr.Contz was a member of St.Angela Catholic Church in Fairview Park and had been employed by the maintenance department of the Cleveland Board of Education. He was preceded in death by a sister;Julia Holesapple;on October 7;1974. Surviving are his widow;Julianne Chesney Contz;two brothers;Frank Contz of Ambridge and Julius W.(Bounce) Contz of Belle Vernon R.D.1;and two sisters;Mrs.George (Margaret) Houlis of Monessen and Minnie Contz of Belle Vernon R.D.1. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.Sebastian Catholic Church;Belle Vernon.
