Dr.Joseph C.Krajnik of 33 Mulberry St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;Aug.20;1984;at 11:30 a.m. at his home. He was 38. Dr.Krajnik was born Oct.28;1945;in North Charleroi;a son of the late Joseph A. and Helen Salsovic Krajnik. A Belle Vernon resident the past 14 years;he was formerly of Donora. Dr. krajnik was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon;the Monessen Elks Lodge 773;Phi Delta Kappa;and the National Association of Secondary School Principals. He was a graduate of Mon Valley Catholic High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from California University of Pennsylvania and his Master’s degree in counceling from the University of Pittsburgh. In 1976 he received his doctorate in education and administration from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr.krajnik was a former Spanish teacher and guidance counselor at Elizabeth-Forward High School. In 1975 he went to the Bentworth School District as assistant high school principal. In 1977 he became principal of Bentworth High School. Survivors include his widow;Arlene Holet Krajnik;one daughter;Kristen at home;one brother;George Krajnik of Denver;Colo.;two sisters;Marianne Krajnik of Donora and Mrs. George (Dorothy) Shallenberger of Floreffe;and his mother-in-law and father-in-law;Ida May and Charles Holet of Monessen. Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be held Thursday;Aug.23 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson;funeral director;is in charge of arrangements.
