Joseph C.Durham of 39 Pacific Boulevard;Monessen;died Thursday;April 3;1986;at 1:10 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital Inc. He was 65. Born in Winchester;Ind.;May 23;1920;he was a son of the late Joseph E.and Goldie Durham who survives and resides in Warren;Ind. Mr.Durham was a Protestant by faith. He served in the U.S.Navy during World War II. A Monessen resident for the past three years;Mr Durham previously resided in Souderton;Montgomery County. He retired in 1982 from the Central Bucks County School District;where he was employed as a custodian. In addition to his mother;surviving are his wife;Ida Niccolai Durham;a son;Wayne Durham;two daughters;Rachel Savage and Judy Liss;all in the state of Indiana;two brothers;Charles Durham of Fairmont;Ind.;and Ivan Durham of Kokomo;Ind.;three sisters;Dorothy Elliott of Burney;Ind.;Ruth Mullens of Anderson;Ind.and Ava Williams of Wolcottville;Ind;grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. with Rev.Kenneth Neiderhiser of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene officiating.
