Obituary

Joseph (Boots) Radish,74,of 124 Perry Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Monday,March 20,1972,at 8:35 a.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He was born in Yugoslavia on Aug.11,1897. He was a veteran of World War II. He retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in 1965. He was preceded in death by a sister,Julia Sudor,in June of 1971. He was a past president of the Washington Twp.Fire Department. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion Post 659 in Belle Vernon,Elks and Eagles in Monessen. Survivors are two brothers,John of Belle Vernon and Richard of Carmel,N.Y.and two sisters,Mrs.Nick (Pauline) Radock of Belle Vernon, Mrs.Sally Richie of Belle Vernon,and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,where a service will be held Thursday,March 23,at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Igor R.Soroka of St.Nicholas Orthodox Church,Donora,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director.
