Joseph Bennett (Benac);85;of 128 Nagy Ave.;Belle Vernon (Arnold City);died in Brownsville General Hospital Tuesday;March 14;1967;at 11 p.m. Mr.Bennett;a retired coal miner;was a member of United Mine Workers Local 2148;Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge No.11 and Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church of Fayette City. Born in Yugoslavia on March 6;1882;he was a son of the late Michael and Josephine Charlovitch Bennett. Surviving are his widow;Sophia;three sons;Nick and Mark of Belle Vernon;Michael of Fairhope;four daughters;Mrs.Michael (Mildred) Severovis of Charleroi;Mrs.Walter (Mary) Bielski of Monessen;Mrs.Thomas (Goldie) Ercegovic and Mrs.Joan Venable of Cleveland;Ohio;a sister in Europe;seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City. Prayers there Saturday;March 18;at 9:30 a.m.followed by Requiem High Mass in Holy Spirit R.C.church;Fayette City;at 10 a.m. The Rev.William Gavron;pastor;will officiate.
