Joseph A.Zimmerman;30;of 708 Miles Ave.;Monongahela;was killed at 6:50 a.m. today;Sept.29;when his car ran into the back of another auto on fog-shrouded Interstate 79;one mile south of the Evans City Exit. Zimmerman;who was pronounced dead at the scene;was born July 31;1954;in North Charleroi;a son of the late John Zimmerman and Irma Zimmerman who survives and reside in Belle Vernon. He was an employee of the U.S.Steel Corp.Irvin Works in Clairton. Surviving;in addition to his mother;are a daughter;Lee Ann Zimmerman of Erie;Pa.;three brothrs;Francis;Eugene and John Zimmerman;all of Belle Vernon;and two sisters;Mrs.Vera Sue Fedarko and Mrs. Irma Monticelli;both of Belle Vernon.Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. Shelby D.Ferguson;funeral director;is in charge of arrangements.
