Obituary

Joseph A Reggianni, 78, of Belle Vernon, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at 7:41 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born Feb. 3, 1924, in Daisytown, he was the son of the late Angelo and Alfonsina Passinni Reggiannini. He was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area. Mr. Reggianni was a retired mine foreman fire boss and was a Pennsylvania mine inspector for the coal industry. Mr. Reggianni was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by one daughter, Sandra L. Dillon of Washington Township, one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph A. Jr. and Deborah Reggianni of Donora, a very special companion, Shirley Young of Fellsburg, one sister, Iris Thomas of Centerville, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two half brothers, Arnold and Elio Frankie, one half sister, Alice Rodish, and one grandson, John Dillon. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Services will be held Saturday, May 25, in the funeral home at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James J. Mimidis, pastor of Pricedale Union Church, officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
