Joseph A. Franks,76,died Tuesday,Feb. 15,1972,at 5:25 a.m. in his home in Dunlevy. Mr. Franks,a retired employee of the Charleroi Plant of Corning Glass Co.,was born May 12,1895,in Duquesne,the son of the late Julian and Elise Moreau Franc. He was a member and secretary of the United Methodist Church in Dunlevy. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Rose Marraccini Franks,two daughters, Mrs. Verne (Annetta) Hill of Pasadena,Tex.,and Mrs. R.F. (Elouise) Sutherland of Pittsburgh;five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Harold L. Schrock Funeral Home,Charleroi,Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday,Feb. 17,1972,at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Robert C. Guffey,pastor of the United Methodist Church of Dunlevy,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold L. Schrock,funeral director.
