Obituary

Johnson Hough,one of the aged and respected residents of the Fayette City district,died Saturday morning,April 28,1923,at his residence on the old Hough homestead where he has been declining during the past two weeks since his return from special treatment at the hospital. Mr.Hough was 74 years old on his birthday,February 8,last. Residing practically all of his life on the Hough homestead just outside of Fayette City,the deceased was closely identified with several important developments of the river district. He clung to the vocation of his younger days throughout life,however,and still insisted upon being listed as an agriculturists even after retirement. Mr.Hough leaves his wife,Sylvania Lynn Hough and the following sons and daughters,Mrs.Edward Dreyer,Belle Vernon,Mrs.Margaret O'Neil at home,Harry Danton Hough and Lloyd L.Hough,both of Fayette City. Six grandchildren also survive together with one brother,Joseph Hough and a sister,Mrs.Catherine Crombie. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev.Hackett,pastor of the Fayette City Presbyterian Church,will conduct the services and interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Many Uniontown relatives will attend the services.
