Obituary

John Yowonske,Belle Vernon R.D.3,died Tuesday,Jan.4,1983,in Mercy Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was 70 years old. Mr.Yowonske was born Sept.10,1912 in Vesta 5,a son of the late Samuel and Mary Vroniak Yowonske. He was a resident of the Belle Vernon area all his life and was retired from Clyde Mine,Fredericktown,where he worked until 1965. He was a member of Local 688 United Mine Workers District 5. He was also a member of St.Sebstian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by a son,Carl Michael,on Oct.7,1957 and two brothers,Alex and Frank Yowonske. He is survived by his wife,Helen Britvich Yowonske,three sons,John Jr.,at home,and Lee and Theodore,Belle Vernon,four grandchildren,four brothers,Steve,Samuel,Joseph and Walter Yowonske,all of Belle Vernon,and two sisters,Mrs.Victoria Moran and Mrs.Ann Keyock,both of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer service will be held Thursday at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Belle Vernon Cemetery. Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
