Obituary

John Yonash,Box 44,Marion Villa,Arnold City,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,February 25,1979,in the Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp. He was 68. He was born April 10,1910 in Washington Twp.,the son of the late George and Ella Kopcha Yonash. Mr.Yonash was a retired coal miner. He was also a veteran of World War II,having served with the U.S.Navy. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church,Fayette City,VFW Post 3557,Belle Vernon,and the PNA Lodge No.976,Arnold City. Mr.Yonash is survived by two brothers,Michael Yonash of Arnold City and Paul Yonash of Daisytown,and three sisters,Mrs.Anna Lovish of Fayette City,and Mrs.Edward (Julia) Swantek and Mrs.Mary Sebetich,borh of Arnold City. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.at the funeral home,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church,Fayette City,with the Rev.Thomas Rinn,pastor,as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family requests,in lieu of flowers,memorial contributions be made to the Washington Twp.Fayette City Community Ambulance Service (CAS). The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
