Obituary

John Wozniak, 93, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at 12:30 a.m. at Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born May 14, 1909, in Fairhope, he was the son of the late, Joseph and Mary Brazzon Wozniak. Mr. Wozniak was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon area. He was a member of Holy Spirit R.C. Church, Fayette City, and was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Monessen Plant, where he worked in the Open Hearth & B.O.F. He is survived by a daughter, Joan Anderson Krolik of Washington Township, of Washington Township, son and daughter-in-law, John and Jo Ann Wozniak, of Charleroi, sister, Julia Dobosh, of Waynesburg, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Fidarnik Wozniak, two sons, Ernest and Thomas Wozniak, four brothers, Albert, Walter, Alex and Frank Wozniak and two sisters, Mary Halgas and Catherine Philip. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Leonard J. McAlpin, pastor of Holy Spirit Church, officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
