John Walker,56,of Dunlevy, died at Veterans Administration Hospital,Oakland,Pittsburgh,Wednesday,June 16,1965 at 8:45 a.m. Mr. Walker was employed as plant guard at the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. A veteran of World War II,he had served with the U.S. Air Force. He was born in Charleroi on Feb. 11,1909,the son of the late William and Methilda Moxon Walker. Surviving are his widow,Grace Simpson Walker;two sons, William at home and John H. with the U.S.Navy at Seattle,Wash.;three daughters,Patricia at home,Mrs. Edward (Shirley) Calhoun of Belle Vernon and Mrs. William (Catherine) Watkins of Dunlevy;four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Brounce of Charleoi,Mrs. Garnett Aron of Detroit,Mich.,Mrs. Grace Borelli of Monongahela and Mrs. Edith Katinsky of Fort Myer,Fla. and three grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Francis C. Slezak Funeral Home,Charleroi,where a service will take place Saturday,June 19,at 11 a.m. in charge of the Rev. William M. West. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Funeral home visitng hours are 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Francis C. Slezak,funeral director.
