John W. Peach,85,of Belle Vernon,passed away Oct.6,2001,in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born on June 11,1916,in Dunlevy,the son of the late John and Jennie Peach. Mr. Peach had been employed by Corning and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon,a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion,Charleroi VFW,and a life member of the North Belle Vernon Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife,Mary Jane Peach;a sister,Ruth Clegg,and a sister-in-law,Edith Schultz. Surviving are one sister,Mrs. Roger (Helen) McClurg of State College;a friend,Ann Wagner of Belle Vernon;and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME,INC., a Golden Rule Member Firm,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Services will be at 11 a.m.Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Timothy McConville officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The North Belle Vernon Fire Department will conduct services on Monday evening at 7:30 p.m.in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers,donations may be made in Mr. Peach's honor to the North Belle Vernon Fire Department.
