John W. McGinty,47,of 309 Second St.,Charleroi,died Saturday,Oct. 24,1964 at 9:12 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Born March 7,1917,in Charleroi,he was the son of William and Mary Walker McGinty and was educated in Charleroi schools. Mr. McGinty was serving as vice president of Charleroi Eagles Aerie 390 at the time of his death. He is survived by his widow,Bertha Kelley McGinty;three daughters,Sandra,at home, Mrs. Mary Ann Pack,of Pittsburgh,Mrs. Patricia Thompson,of Coal Center R.D.1;two sisters, Mrs. Jeannette Hatton of Maryland and Mrs. Joyce Hewitt of Roscoe and seven grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Francis C. Slezak Funeral Home,Third St.,and Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home,with Rev. W.S. Van Arsdale Jr.of the First Christian Church,Charleroi,in charge. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Francis C. Slezak is the funeral director.
