Obituary

John W. Karbowsky, 77, of Rostraver Township, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, at 3:35 p.m., at Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant. Born Feb. 11, 1927, in Belle Vernon, he was a son of the late Joseph Sr. and Helen Furtak Karbowsky. Mr. Karbowsky was a lifelong resident of Rostraver Township, a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon, and a retired farmer at the Patterson Farm, Rostraver Township. He is survived by a sister, Dorothy Karbowsky, of Belle Vernon, a brother and sister-in-law, William and Pauline Karbowsky, of Smithton, a sister-in-law, Marsha Karbowsky, of North Belle Vernon, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Daniel, Michael, Joseph Jr. and Walter Karbowsky, and a sister, Florence Karbowsky. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Relatives and friends will gather at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Mary Street, Belle Vernon, Monday at 11 a.m. for services with the Very Rev. John J. Kluchko officiating.
