Obituary

John V. Fletcher, 72, of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township), died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006 in Jefferson Regional Health System, Jefferson Borough. Born May 18, 1933 in North Charleroi, he was a son of Margaret Debnar Fletcher, of Charleroi, and the late John C. Fletcher. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 43 years, Mr. Fletcher was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Charleroi. He was a retired millwright from Pittsburgh Local 2235, having received his 50-year pin, and he was a member of the Fairhope Rod & Gun Club and the Charleroi and Monongahela Sportsmen's clubs. He is survived by his wife, Judy Bazilewich Fletcher, to whom he was married 43 years, a son, John P. Fletcher, of Jeannette, a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Tim Baker, of Rostraver Township, a brother, Tom Fletcher, of Speers, a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Jerry Daniel, of Atlanta, Ga., and one granddaughter, Amanda Baker. Visitation will be held Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). A Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, March 1 at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Orthodox Church with the Rev. Gregory Peterson as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Parastas Service will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
