John Thomas Hawk,612 Ninth St.,Monessen died Thursday, Jan. 4,1962,at 12 a.m. He was a member of the Church of God in Republic,Pa.,and an employee of Pittsburgh Steel Co., Monessen. Surviving are his widow, Anna Hawk; two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Evans and Genevieve Hawk,both of Detroit, Mich.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Bessie Williams of Washington,D.C.;one step-son,Charles Howell of Monessen,five brothers, Earl, Roosevelt and William of Chicago,Jody of Ohio and Hazy of Tenn.;three sisters, Irene Hawk and Mrs. Catherine Humphries,both of Detroit and Willa May Hawk of Chicago and his father, Will Hawk of Alabama. Friends are being received at the DuBois H. Carter Funeral Home in Monessen between the hours of 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Monday,Jan.8 at 11 a.m. in Union Baptist Church,Monessen with the Rev.
