Obituary

John Tesi,88,of 426 Market St.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,Jan.9,1980 at Shadyside Hospital,Pittsburgh. Born Aug.22,1891 in Italy,he had lived in Belle Vernon for over 60 years. He was a member of St.Sebastian Catholic Church in Belle Vernon,Garibaldi Lodge of Dunlevy,and United Mine Workers of America. He was a charter member of the former Italian Club of Belle Vernon and he was retired from Somers Mine,Pricedale. Preceded in death by his wife,Rose Melani Tesi in 1967,Mr.Tesi is survived by three daughters,Mrs.Lillian Vagli of Laurelville,Pa.,Mrs.Elia Mager of Monessen and Mrs.Blanch Perez of Belle Vernon,a brother and a sister in Italy,six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Friday at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St.Sebastian's Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m.Saturday. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
