Obituary

John T. Bilski, 76, of Arnold City, Belle Vernon, died Thursday May 31, 2001, in the emergency room of Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born May 28, 1925, in Mayfield, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Bilski. He was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Fayette City. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy, and was a member of the Brightwell-Daughtery Post 484 American Legion, Fayette City, and the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club. Surviving are his wife, Dolores Smith Bilski, to whom he was married 42 years, a daughter, Cheryl Yosh and husband, Richard, of Freeland, two brothers, Louis and Floyd Bilski, both of Arnold City, and a sister, Adeline Barch of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, on Saturday, 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday, June 4, 2001, until 9:30 a.m., when a blessing service will take place followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit R.C. Church, with Rev. Father Leonard McAlpin as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A parish wake service will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
